The 8 most important things to know about online interior design. You most probably have many questions when it comes to online interior design.
The basic steps you can see find on the home page as you scroll down, but in this article I cover everything else what you possibly want to know about how virtual interior design works.
- Are these computer generated images?
At Gabriella Grimaldi Design we are creating carefully handcrafted interior designs tailored for your personal unique needs in every single project. To achieve the best results during the design process we are using the latest software to create a beautiful piece of art just for you. What we do is creating the floorplan selecting the furniture, materials and finishes and place them into the design. The rough 2D or 3D view is not even close to the aesthetics what you see on a picture like above. Some example what we use is SketchUp, AutoCAD, V-Ray, Photoshop, Procreate etc.
2. Are they real properties?
Yes, they are based on real properties and dimensions of those spaces. What happens exactly when you want us to design your room for example, you send us the measurements like: “I have a 5m x 5m room with one door on one wall 1 m long and 2 m tall in the middle of the wall. On the opposite side there is a window 60 cm x 50 cm and it is 60 cm from the floor”. Then you tell us: “I would like to have a modern bedroom with a gold future light”. You can leave it like that or you can send us pictures and reference photos about what you like. Then we will do the design you have options for revision. How many times you can ask for the recheck, it depends on your package what you booked. Once you are happy with the design you can have the video, pictures, shopping list and even dwg. 3. How can I find the furniture for the room?
When you are happy with your design in the package you will have the shopping list also with the shops or links where you can purchase the furniture. If there is something missing or currently unavailable we will recommend a similar item or items. What you can do after just follow the pictures and place them in the room. You can get additional help from contractors and decorators, they will have everything from measurements to materials in the package so you do not need to worry about a thing. Painters as well they can just get the pictures and they will know exactly how the wall colour should look like. That saves you a loads of headache, time and effort.
4. Is it depends o n the room size how is being charged?
Under 18 meter squared in size it is classified as one room however if you have a open plan space bigger than 18 metre squared in size, please email us at success@gabriellagrimaldi.design with your room dimensions so we can confirm whether your space would be classed as one or two rooms. For more than one room you can see the estimated prices below. Please not that prices might vary depends on the project type and difficulty level. Estimates:

5. Would you do it in person too?
In some cases I might consider it depending on the location and the type of the project. Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you would require face to face service.
6. How do you catch my style like do you have any questioners to know what I need?
Absolutely! I have a prepared questionnaire which makes it perfectly clear for you and for me too what do you expect to see as an end result. A picture also speak a 1000 words so if you would like to send additional inspirational pictures or reference photos please do. The best source for that is a google search or my fav is Pinterest. There you can create a gallery and then easily send me the link in an email.
8. How long will it take for my design to be finished?
We first create your mood board which you will receive within two days of your project’s start date. Once the mood board is approved you will receive your full design within 2 weeks. Please do note that the two weeks delivery time is for one room, in terms of multiple rooms we will advice you how long we will need to complete the project. In terms of eight rooms it might take up to four months depending on the project type.
+1 When do I make the payments for my design?
First step is the deposit which is payable to secure your space with us (this will be deducted from your final design fee). Once you have received your mood board for your space outlining our ideas and once you have confirmed you are happy with them, you will be asked to make a 50% payment of your final design fee before we start to create your full design. Upon receiving your payment, we will start to create your full designs and bespoke shopping list. All design packages include amendments to the final design so changes can also be made further down the line. We ask that you make the remaining 50% payment within 7 days of you receiving your final design
